You could easily argue that Tyson Stelzer is the most qualified person in the world to provide information about champagne.
Tyson’s awards are numerous. He was named The International Wine & Spirits Communicator of the Year 2015 at The International Wine & Spirits Competition.
The first time he wrote his Champagne Guide in 2011, he won The Louis Roederer International Champagne Writer of the Year Award. Interestingly, he says the latest version of The Champagne Guide (released later this year) is even better.
Tyson visits Champagne multiple times each year, where he visits the world’s finest champagne houses, as well as small grower-producers.
He has his own national television wine show, he’s authored over 15 wine publications and he’s contributed countless columns to wine magazines around the globe.
If you look through the champagne reviews on the website of your favourite wine retailer, you’ll almost certainly find Tyson’s descriptions.
To view Tyson’s expert information for yourself, sign up to the ChampagneHQ insider list and receive a free copy of the ‘Veuve Clicquot’ chapter from Tyson’s award-winning book The Champagne Guide 2014-2015.
If Tyson is the champagne expert, Nat is the champagne novice. In a world where champagne can often be drowned in snobbery and pretentious nonsense, it’s good to know there is someone to ask the dumb questions.
Nat Dixon spent 10 years working as a broadcast announcer and producer. He now provides corporate communications advice to big business.
Nat runs the day-to-day workings of the ChampagneHQ website and Tyson provides the expert content.
- the champagne basics – champagne 101
- champagne terminology
- the champagne-making process
